About Mountain State Anglers
A field-note publication for anglers who want practical detail without inflated certainty.
Mountain State Anglers follows the visible work of water, weather, insects, tackle and streamside care. The journal is organized around four sections so a reader can move from a river observation to a fly-fishing method, a gear note or a conservation question.
How we work
We describe what a page can support, separate observation from interpretation, and keep dates and limitations visible. The aim is a useful record that remains readable after conditions change.
It is also what we look for when we read elsewhere, whatever the subject happens to be: a mountain riffle here, the courts de tennis Nimes in a French local guide, the same plain treatment of a place someone knows well.
